Do you know what Yacht Rock Is? Air Supply, Toto, Christopher Cross, The Doobie Brothers. Watch this preview of the documentary that’s on Binge and it will give you a very good idea of what defines the late 70’s – early 80’s, Yacht Rock era.
To begin this maiden voyage, we set sail 19 January 2025. Your Captain is me, Steph Payne, musician, level 3 James Hill Ukulele Institute teacher, yacht rock enthusiast and former water ski spotter aboard the Derek-E speedboat (in fairness I was under 10 years old at the time of both the yacht rock era and the ski spotting).
Yacht Rock has great chord progressions, fabulous riffs and vocal harmonies, so the ukestrations we will learn are full of fun skills to develop.

All adults are welcome but it’s recommended that you know the basic chords and can read ukulele tabs.
